Our Mission

Founded in 1962, the Korean American Federation of Los Angeles (KAFLA) is a 2022 California Nonprofit of the Year with a mission to represent and empower the Korean American community of Los Angeles County.

KAFLA aims to protect and advocate for the rights and interests of Korean Americans, foster amicable relations and cultural exchange between Korea and the U.S., and promote interaction and understanding between the Korean American and other ethnic communities.

We strive to bridge generations and organizations and to prepare the next generation of leaders for the Korean American community. We are the only organization in which the Korean American community elects its President.
